Scream 7, the highly anticipated sequel, is currently in production and will feature the return of the iconic Ghostface. While the release date is yet to be confirmed due to ongoing strikes in the industry, rumors suggest production may begin in early 2024.

 The cast is expected to include Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers and potentially Hayden Panettiere as FBI Agent Kirby Reed, among others. However, Melissa Barrera, Neve Campbell, and Jenna Ortega will not be reprising their roles. 

The plot is speculated to explore family connections and may reference previous Scream films. It is possible that the Stab film series, which portrays the "real" Ghostface murders, will play a significant role in Scream 7, building upon the franchise's previous references to it.
